Employment Opportunity: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Borough of Chesilhurst seeks a part-time CFO to manage a Current Fund Budget of $3,474,000 and a Sewer Utility Fund Budget of $100,000.00 Applicants must hold a valid CMFO license or are in the process of pursuing the certification and have at least 5 years of experience in Municipal Finance. Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience with payroll, Pension Administration including reports and remittances on MBOS and the Prudential website, utility funds, benefit administration, municipal fund accounting, general ledger maintenance, budget preparation, internal controls, grants, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, escrow accounts management, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation. Must be able to attend Council Meetings upon request and all budget meetings and have the ability to interact well with the public and officials. Computer literacy (including excel and word) and knowledge of the Edmunds Accounting System are essential. Salary and Benefits based upon qualifications and experience.
